Intensive physical activity directly results in overloading of feet, knees and hips. Injuries and sprains happen quite often. Proper shoes are crucial, but still are not enough. A perfectly adjusted insert absorbs shocks and protects the fragile muscle-ligament structures and, at the same time, the spine and the whole body. Alto Active has run thousands of kilometres in hundreds of shoes, climbed many mountains and actively supported all its users.
The structure of this product is also designed for people suffering from hollow foot. In this deformation the mid-foot is excessively concave between the heads of mid-foot bones and the calcaneal tuberosity. As a result, the foot is shorter and higher at the mid-foot, which increases the risk of serious injuries.
How does Active Alto work?
The fulcrum
is situated higher, which makes it fully support and stabilise the mid-foot. It reduces the outward rotation of the foot and restores its natural physiological position.
The fulcrum absorbs shocks and protects the heel, thus reducing the vulnerability to ankle joint injury, dislocation or twists.
The stabilising core
evenly supports the heel and the mid-foot.
Sahara Skin Black
layer absorbs the excess of moisture quickly and effectively, which can be extremely important for active people, protects against chafes, blisters and multiplication of microorganisms.
Application
Alto Active - hollow foot, transverse flat foot, Hallux Valgus grade 2 and 3, ankle joint hypermobility, ankle deformation and hyperhidrosis.
How to determine your insole size?
If you are not sure about your shoe size, we recommend to take the following steps to get an accurate foot measurement:
- In order to measure the feet from toes to heel, you will need only paper, pen and ruler.
- Place the paper on the floor against the wall. Plant one foot on the paper with your heel against the wall.
- Mark the furthest point of your foot on the paper. Repeat for both feet, as it often happens that they are different.
- Measure the length and compare it with the table below. Choose the size that fits the longer foot.
