Before use, please consult your podologist, physiotherapist or orthopaedist. Hallux Valgus is a type of deformity where the big toe is deformed at the joint and the mid-foot bones are diverging. It includes symptoms such as pain, swelling, reddening, bursa inflammation and walking is impeded.
How does Hallux Alto work?
The fulcrum
reduces the excessive movability at the metatarsophalangeal joint. In case of stiff big toe (hallux rigidus), the risk of nail plate injuries is significantly reduced, and with it the risk of complications such as onycholysis or ingrown nails is lower too.
The shape
was designed especially for everyday shoes.
The pelota
relieves the pressure from the forefoot and alleviates the conditions related to hammer toes.
The stabilising core
In comparison to other inserts, the stabilising core has been moved towards the head of the first mid-foot bone.

How to determine your insole size?
If you are not sure about your shoe size, we recommend to take the following steps to get an accurate foot measurement:
- In order to measure the feet from toes to heel, you will need only paper, pen and ruler.
- Place the paper on the floor against the wall. Plant one foot on the paper with your heel against the wall.
- Mark the furthest point of your foot on the paper. Repeat for both feet, as it often happens that they are different.
- Measure the length and compare it with the table below. Choose the size that fits the longer foot.
